All of these are evident in the Shakespeare's play Hamlet. Human action is shown in the actions of Claudius, Hamlet, Ophelia, and Laertes. The calamity is established by the murders and deaths that occur in Hamlet, and the death of a man in high estate is defined by the death of the Royal Family. Shakespeares plays are defined by the tragic story they tell. Bradely believes to every Shakespearean play there is human actions causing many misfortunes. The audience watches as her character transforms from something so innocent to a raving mad woman eventually taking her own life. His definition of a Shakespearean tragedy matches Hamlet and every other Shakepearean tragedy every written. With calamity every Shakespearean tragedy seems to be plagued with a death of a man in high estate. The ending of the play results in the death of our hero Hamlet. Hamlet's fathers death is a calamity. These disasters are what provides Shakespeares plays with tragedy. Resolution is brought to the audience but at the same time tragedy strikes. He is murdered by a his own brother who then takes his thrown and marries his wife only two months after his death. This produces conflict between Laeretes and Hamlet. Ophelia's character is a disaster in herself. In Macbeth it is Macduff, King Richard III is overthrown and in Hamlet he is overthrown by ___________.
