My Career

As a child I always thought that I knew what I wanted to do when I grew up. However, I always changed my mind and thought of something else that I would like to do when I get older. I would change my mind quite often and be very sure of myself that I had made the right choice. Then given time I would change my mind again. To this day I am still not sure of what I would like to be doing as a profession in my future lifetime.
Starting from when I was a small child, perhaps at the age of 4 or 5, I was sure that I wanted to become a construction worker. I simply loved all that sort of stuff, like all of the machinery and such, I had a great interest in it. I remember when there was construction around my house; I would stand there and watch the workers. I would have stood there and watched all day long if I could. I had books about it and everything, but at a young age like that, no one could fully understand what they wanted to do as a profession. I kept this idea in my head though, until I was about eleven.
When I was about eleven or so, I changed my mind. I found out how hard it is to be a construction worker and that they weren't paid very well, and I sort of put that idea out my head for a while. Also that year, my family bought our first computer. Right away I took an interest in computers. I had never really used one before, except for a few times when we had the privilege to use them in school. This was in the time when computers were becoming very popular along with the internet. I had heard lots of people talk about how computers would be the way of the future and create lots of jobs. This caught my attention and I decided that it was what I wanted to do as a job in the future. When I got a little older I took classes in high school, like computer engineering, and I was really interested and had a lot of fun. Soon after that year, I rapidly began to lose interest in it though.
