The Sand Lizard
Recently when I was in the desert I came upon a lizard that was different than any I have seen before. Then I captured one for a closer look and found that it was very unique in its organs and bodily functions. In it there were three new functions too. In this paper I will tell you three bodily functions that this animal has. One of the adaptations that are new is what I like to call its pin cushion. This pin cushion is located at the tail and acts like a pin cushion for cacti needles so it can get the water that cacti hold inside of them. What it does is it can num its tail then it just puts the needles in the tail then pulls them out. Then it digs a hole in the cactus and put its tongue in the cactus to absorb all the water it needs. This tube is the main tube that goes thru ought the body. This amazingly adapted creature I discovered is the most adapted animal on this planet. This lizard can cut off blood supply to the nervous system which will num the part so if he's experiencing pain he can cut off blood supply to that part so he won't feel anything. This tube would suck up any water it finds. One other function is its circulatory system. Another but not new adaptation it has is its camouflage. And this animal should be studied continuously due to it quickly adapting more and more. When it gets inside it would use that as its home until it's all eaten. It is sand colored with dark brown spots. One new body system it has is its water system. The organs in that system are the heart, lungs, and the veins. The organs that are in that system are the skin, the absorption one, and the network of veins that carry water to the body. When it absorbs water the water goes to the tube and then distributes it thru ought the body. It also has pads on the bottom of its feet for protection from the hot sand.
