The adventures and suffer of two greater heroes.
             Protagonist in the Odyssey and Genesis 40-45 is reflecting in different as heroes away from home that have wander for twenty years in exotic adventures, they have to triumph over his difficulties in order for them to be reunited with his family. Their self control, positive attitudes and intelligence would help them in their fight to be reunited with their families. The eternal fame they have won over generation for being heroes away from home.
             Odysseus and Joseph have similarities Odysseus in fact is figure of intelligence, muscle, seeming almost superhuman at times. He remains as hero and as an ordinary man who must deal with great adventures and retrieving the life him once. For twenty years Odysseus overcame each obstacle the gods handed to him As to Joseph he challenge the fact of being sold to slavery by his brothers that reject him for being his father favor son. He was patience for years and been a loyal slave and ruler to Pharaoh. Joseph was a slave for thirteen years he was obedient and faithful servant, hoping to be reunited with his family one day.
             Joseph reflects a higher character as hero away from home because of his patience and innocence when took into prison. In prison he interpreted the dreams of the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt. Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretrations belong to God?"(40; 8) Tell them to me. So Joseph using his intelligence says to them "But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me, make mention of me to Pharaoh." (40; 14) At this point he is trying to make his self kwoun to the Pharaoh.
             As oppose to Odysseus he suffered in agony for many years on land and sea, yet was wise enough to overcome everything he faced, using his brain to solve problems.
