My Search
In my spare time, as I softly rest comfortably on my bed, I peruse the contents of my life. I flip through my pages, looking for an answer perhaps. Sometimes, I just search for a sign that I realize what I do everyday and why. What I realize instead is that I can only become more aware of myself by doing and learning. Life does not concern only the abstract. It does not deal with written principles, or moral codes. My life can best be compared with a biography in progress, written wholly by my own hand. A collection of stories in essence, my memory serves me well. Using it, I can recognize my regrets and learn from my own mistakes. I know that the path that I follow will prove to be quite unique. This makes up one of the numerous balances in this world that cannot and should not be upset. For me, that role encompasses making cities safer places to live in. Throughout my life, I have always been aware that there is much more to life than meets the eye. As a citizen of the United States, I feel that I, as well as the rest of the population, have a duty and an obligation to respect its laws. Throughout my adolescence, aiding others to facilitate their lives brings me more pleasure than do any other actions I take. There will always be the virtuous and there will always be the fiendish. I have grown up under fortunate circumstances throughout my entire life, and rather than accept that as it is, I would prefer to use my elevated status to provide comfort for those who never had the advantages that I have enjoyed. I have known that the experiences that I have not been through are bountiful, and that there is always something else worth discovering about life or even myself. In my eyes, making the world a safer place constitutes ultimate satisfaction. However, I definitely do not consider myself an idealist; I do not believe that I can rid the world of all the crime. I am aware that the one thing in life that I long to do is to be a significant, beneficial part of society. I hold those who uphold the law in the highest regard, and it is my wish that I might have the same opportunity as they do. I feel that I, unlike much of the population of this nation, feel a strong desire to give back to the community and society as a whole. I have the utmost respect for members of the police force and federal anti-criminal services To be in a position that is respected and relied on by the majority of America is a position that I would gladly accept.
