             Individually, stress and how we deal with it can be very important to us for several reasons. Some say that we need stress to survive and the right amount of stress can be healthy. Essentially, a certain amount of stress is necessary in our lives to meet every day challenges-most team players need stress in order to perform well. However, in order to alleviate and manage stress, we must be willing to alter our current way of living and permit change. Therefore, recognizing stress, managing stress, and safeguarding our physical health is detrimental to our mental well-being.
             Recognizing stress is not as visible to the person who is suffering with this ordeal and stress differs in each individual. Most of the time, a person is not aware or cannot identify with the contributing factors of stress. Several matters can cause us to become vulnerable to stress. Losing your job, an egotistic self-perception, and having to deal with the loss of a love one, is just a few factors in causing stress. In contrast, low self-esteem and emotional distancing can also cause stress. However, recognizing stress and receiving the proper care, can be the road to recovery.
             Managing stress is a process that involves consistency, patience and numerous steps. Foremost, you must recognize the symptoms and identify the causes. Then, by taking action to address the causes, this will allow additional reduction of your symptoms. Furthermore, you must take steps to relieve the symptoms until the primary causes have been dealt with. This process does not transpire overnight; it is important to identify and manage the underlying causes of stress, or you will never relieve yourself of this illness.
