During the Renaissance people in Europe showed a lot of humanism. The people showed ways they enjoyed themselves, how they felt about religion, and their choice of food. The Renaissance was a unique time period for people. People began to make decisions for themselves and be freer.
             The Renaissance people had many different ways they relaxed and had a good time. They would play many different types of games. Card Games, board and dice games, and active games. The communities would also hold dances and relax by dancing with their friends and family. The Renaissance was a lively and fun time, it had its ups and downs like any time period, but it was a very fun time.
             There was a lot of controversy about religion during the Renaissance. The Protestant Reformation began during the Renaissance; this was a time when most of Europe changed from Catholicism to Christianity. The Catholic monks and popes were telling their people they could get into heaven by indulgences. Martin Luther, the leader of the Protestant Reformation, knew the teachings of the Catholic monks was wrong and posted the "Ninety-Five Theses" which showed all of Europe what the Catholic Church was doing. Many families that had been Catholics their whole lives converted to Christianity after seeing what the church was doing.
             The Europeans during the Renaissance also had a unique choice of food. Many things eaten during the Renaissance were made from fruits. For main course meals there was a lot of fish. For desserts they ate a lot of fruit custards and pies. Most of the desserts were made with coconut or almonds. The people used the supplies they were most rich in. That is why there was so many spices in there foods.
