Moses A willing servant or in the wrong place at the wrong time

Moses seems as though in the beginning of his service to God that he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It seems as though he really doesn't want the job as The Lord's messenger. He tries to get out of it any way he can think of. He just doesn't want the responsibility, but as time passes he seems to change his tune and follows God's every word. When God calls Moses from the burning bush, it seems as though Moses is just an innocent onlooker, curious to see what is going on. "An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire out of a bush. He gazed and there was a bush all aflame, yet the bush was not consumed. Moses said, 'I must turn aside to look at this marvelous sight; why doesn't the bush burn up?' When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from the bush." (Exodus 3.2) He just happens to be passing by the bush and notices it burning. It intrigues him and he turns to look. The Lord may have thought that he saw it as something divine but in fact he did not know that God was there. God had to call to him to get his further attention.
