Goals set to achieve
Let me begin by asking if anyone is as shocked by the real world as I am? What an eye-opener! It was but three years ago that this mother, wife, full-time student, and full-time wanna-be career woman, among so many other things, was only a senior in high school. Throughout all eighteen years of my educational career, the goals I had set for myself as well as the goals others had set for me were both pretentious and apprehensible. I always had intentions of attending college and had even imagined a doctorate someday, but fate has had other plans for me. Soon after graduating, I attended the University of South Carolina for a short time where I was Pre-Med Psychology. Soon after, however, I became pregnant and needed to set my initial plan for the future aside. I had a beautiful little girl, began a career (or better termed, job), and was married, all in that order. As can be imagined, most of those initial expectations I had were lost. Although I would never change a single road life has led me down, it is time I wise up to the possibilities there are for me; so let me explain why the University of Phoenix will help me reach those professional and personal goals I had set not so long ago.
may improve health both because it leads to higher positions in the social hierarchy and because it is likely to arm people with what they need to exert more control over their lives and to participate fully in society. From The American Enterprise, "Most Americans agree that, whether one is seeking what former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli called "a place of light, of liberty, and of learning", or simply the opportunity to earn seventy-five percent more that the average high school graduate, a college campus [online campus, that is] is the place to look. re education, it seems too difficult to return to the classroom, but with this online program the classroom is unnecessary. I can recall a time when making my parents proud was a feat I most certainly had to accomplish; now days I find it more important to make my daughter proud. However, I have so much more to offer the company with which I am employed. 4)The University of Phoenix makes it possible to complete my degree without taking time from my family or my workday; it ensures that my potential will not go without use; as well, it helps to ensure advancement in my career and on the salary scale. At the risk of sounding arrogant, I am bored! And because the University of Phoenix is completely dedicated to the working adult and focused on my career success, I know that when I earn my degree the only limit I will have to reach is the sky. In fact, I feel as though I have reached the limit for my particular position. Unfortunately, reality is an inevitable eye-opener for everyone whose expectations in life are not met as timely as they would like; however, I have learned to be persistent. As well, I am in the initial stages of a career, but without furthering my education it seems nearly impossible to excel any further.
