Security of home
Being at college has been an experience of a life time; however nothing beats the satisfaction of being back home. After living at college for almost two weeks I decided to take a trip home and visit my family. As I walked through the front door, I was welcomed with a bundle of hugs and vivid smiles that lit up the whole neighborhood. I entered into the living and walked straight over to the large blue sectional located underneath the bright bay window. Exhausted from the long drive I quickly seated myself on the couch next to my medium sized golden retriever who was sprawled out like he owned the place. Sitting next to my dog brought back the feeling of safety which had been missing since school started. Within minutes I felt rejuvenated and decided to go upstairs. There is no better feeling then the one you get when you are at home; the place you grew up in, and the place you feel the most comfortable at. Looking around the room I once spent most of my time in, brought a grin to my face. After taking it all in, I jumped on my bed and laid down. A curtain was above the window coinciding with the same cloud border that was neatly positioned at the top of the sky blue wall. I closed my eyes and started to think about all the great memories I still have here in my house. A bed was placed in the corner of the room enclosed with cloud sheets, pillows, and a comforter; the teddy bears on top of the bed were situated in the same spot they were left in. I turned around walked over to the door, and paused for a moment with a delighted look; I kept going. The gray carpet that covered the floor brought all the colors of the room together. The green grass covered the yard from one side to the other. On the other side of the room an organized desk with pictures of an array of smiles, captured my attention. Looking at the neatness and organization of my bedroom reminded me of the comfort I felt while being home.
