Abortion, Religion, and the Death Penalty

In this paper, I will argue against the most controversial things that exist, including religion, the death penalty, and abortion and try to find consistency in people that are in favor of it and in their arguments. These are things that should be handled with common sense and not with the mindset that everything has some type of divine intervention or religious answer. Furthermore, I will take a stance that will show that religion is used as an excuse for people in this world to believe that life is something worth living for because of the "after-life". First off, I would like to start with a term we have all heard that is referred to as the Sanctity of Life. Personally, I think it's a crock of nonsense. Life is sacred? Who said so? God? If you read history, "God" is one of the leading causes of death, has been for thousands of years. Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Hindus all killing each other because God said it was a good idea. Some of the most brutal wars have been fought over religion, the Crusades for instance. Even if you do try to talk about the Sanctity of Life you can't try and blame it on God because we made it up. You know why? We are alive, that's why we made it up. Living people have a strong interest of p

I came past a few examples that shed some light on how the Death Penalty is a horrible thing that takes place in the U. It is also said that conception begins when the sperm reaches the egg and it takes six or seven days before the sperm reaches the uterus and not every egg makes it that far. When the Israelis stop fighting Palestine and over holy land and vice versa and society stops worrying about the unborn and starts worry about those who have been born already and how they are suffering, then we can worry about if a higher being exists or not. Basically what the anti-abortion people are saying is that any woman that has more than one menstrual cycle is a serial killer!! As stated before, I am just trying to find consistency in what people call the "right thing". On average, it costs six times as much to kill one person as it costs to incarcerate that person for life (3. Well who has fewer abortions than homosexuals???? Here is an entire class of people guaranteed never to have an abortion and the Catholics and Christians are tossing them aside. The Sanctity of Life, which I presented before, also ties into all of this. If everything that ever lived is dead, and everything that is living is going to die, then where does the sacred part come in? We kill chickens and cows because we are hungry. We all need to stop and take a look around and stop trying to leave our lives to God and hope he makes everything perfect. Don't let them hide behind the death penalty. Killing doctors doesn't make you pro-life. Hard working Americans are having their money wasted on paying taxes for things that should have been prevented from the beginning. Drug dealers aren't afraid to die, they are already killing each other everyday by the hundreds. Things haven't been good for thousands of years so why put your faith in something that can't and hasn't been proven? We write our own destiny, not a higher being.
