             Robin Hood is an English hero who is the son of the wealthy lord Loxly. Robin Hood
             leaves his country to fight in the crusades with his friend Peter and King Richard. He is captured during the crusades and manages to escape with the help of his Moorish aid, Azeem. On his arrival back to England he finds his father dead and his country in peril. The Sheriff of Nottingham has enforced his evil rule upon the country and plans to usurp the throne while the king is fighting abroad. When Robin Hood realizes that it was the sheriff who killed his father, he swears revenge on his father's death. He and Azeem, who has come to England to help him, travel through Sherwood forest and encounter a band of rebels who have been hunted by the sheriff for not paying taxes. Robin Hood is constantly ridiculed and criticized by one of the men named Will Scarlet, who is later established to be Robin's half brother. Will Scarlet plays the
             inferior and jealous role in the film. Not long after running into the band of rebels, Robin visits his one and only love, Maid Marian. After he visits her and she informs him of the struggles that her people have been through due to the sheriff, he transforms the band of rebels into an organized fighting unit that intercepts the sheriffs gold that was meant for paying off the king's enemies to unite against him. Robin Hood uses the money he steals from the sheriff to help the poor commoners who have suffered under the sheriff's rule. The sheriff then captures many of Robin Hood's men after a battle in Sherwood forest and plans on hanging them and marring Maid Marian against her w
