The truth on global warming
The fuss generated over the topic of global warming has grasped everyone's attention. This issue has inspired many debates among scientists, politicians and environmentalists. The popular view of global warming has been developed which states that: climate extremes would trigger meteorological chaos, devastating hurricanes such as we have never seen, capable of killing millions of people. This concept has been presented in books and advanced by the media. These are uncertain events in absolute terms and has caused an uproar in the government and among many scientists, for publicly stating speculation as fact. In the future, climate changes will cause some ecological and human impacts, but the prediction of total catastrophe and the earth being in immense danger due to man's effect is largely overrated. Drastic changes should not be made to solve this issue as it might have a potential threat to the economy. And also, because of the possibility of natural factors being a cause for this phenomenon and the uncertainties of computer modeling being high, detailed analysis of these causes must be conducted before any decision gets made. The planet has warmed since the mid-1800s, bu
Records show that in spite of increasing gas emissions in the atmosphere the temperatures has been fluctuating. Such wide variations between the scientists going from one extreme to the other, with such strong words based on speculation creates a backlash, which affects public opinion. One scientist is right to suggest that "our results constitute strong evidence, albeit circumstantial . Another important factor that needs attention is the cost of the energy shift from fossil fuel to ultimately renewable sources. This statement has been proven by scientists who have proved that carbon dioxide produced by hydrogen test bombs in the 1950's and 60's have dropped significantly (qtd. An opponent might validly object that not enough studies have been done over this phenomenon and argues over its insignificant. In her article "Global Warming: dire warning," Barbara Sibbald notes that global warming will still cost the economy billions of dollars a year "because of weather . By taking drastic steps to limit gas emissions which is "thought" to be the main cause of global warming can be devastating. movie "The Day After Tomorrow," is that human induced global warming will cause another ice age" (304: 400). Further more, some scientists strongly believe that fluctuating energy of the sun contributes to the temperature change. In his recent conference he stated that many scientists do not believe that global warming is a major problem and that humans are responsible for any changes in the climate. Ronald Bailey comes to this conclusion: "Model projections of climate and weather are scientifically crude at best and should not be used as pretexts for imposing a global energy policy"(2). t before that it cooled for more than five centuries.
