Animal Farm
The novel Animal Farm by George Orwell is based on the Russian Revolution in 1917. In this novel Orwell wrote it in simple language with symbolism about a totalitarian system such as the Russian government. Animal farm is a satire that uses the characters in the story to symbolize the leaders during the Russian Revolution. The plot of the Animal Farm seems to be a fairy tale story but deeply it resembles to the Russian Revolution. Orwell uses actual historical events to construct the story. Eventually in Russia, after the Revolution, soon the form of government still remains similarly the same before the Revolution. The story takes place on a farm somewhere in England and is told by an narrator in third person. Old Major, the oldest pig on the farm calls all animals to a meeting in the barn. Old Major told them about his dream he had of a revolution against the owner of the Manor Farm, Mr. Jones. That all animals live together with no human beings to control them and that the y must work together to gain the revolution. Later he teaches them a song called "Beasts of England" which he used to sang and forgotten but his dream refreshed his memory. All the animals listened to his words with great enthusiasm. Just only
