While it may be true that kickboxing is the type of exercise designed to strengthen the less used muscles while providing a total body work out like a gym style aerobics would; it can in no way compare to the respect, discipline, confidence self-defense and self-control achieved through strenuous training in any martial are, especially Tae Kwon Do. Through kickboxing I have both strengthened and toned my most useful and most neglected muscles thus benefiting my performance in Tae Kwon Do also.
