The early influence of religion

A powerful factor on the change and development of a colonial society is religion. The colonial society of New England and the Chesapeake region were impacted and developed around religion. By the founding of these areas being rooted in religion, the areas have moved in new directions that follow the very religion that it was established by. There are specific aspects of the society that religion has impacted and shaped the growth of the region. These factors that were influenced by the early religion in the New England and Chesapeake regions were the government of the area, the people living there, and the people's way of life.The first factor that the early religion impacted the development of the New England and Chesapeake regions was they're form of government. The people who lived in the Chesapeake area most likely emigrated from Great Britain, and therefore were already religious in some way or form. This operation of the state was continuously growing as the region prospered. Therefore, one can conclude that a very powerful reason for the change and development of a colonial society is religion. At the base of this operation was how the very people of the area lived. The religion of the people affected their daily lives, thus impacting the development of the region. Again, this was no different to the north in the New England's. The passing of religion from generation to generation sent colonial society in new directions and promoted its growth. Lastly, the religion of the New England and Chesapeake regions shaped the people's way of life. By affecting the region's government, its people, and their way of life, religion was a strong factor in the development of the region. When religion influences how the people live their lives, the religion is passed down as the nation grows. In the New England region, Catholicism was prominent due to the very roots of the states' foundation. This indigenous faith of the people influenced how the powers of the region carried out law.
