The story "A Good Man is Hard to Find," by Plannery O' Conner is a very interesting story. In the story an old woman says, "People are certainly not nice like they used to be." Nowadays people are selfish and their behavior toward others is worse.
            
             There are two methods of fighting each other. One is by law, and the other is by force. The first one is not so bad because people can get help when they are in trouble such as notices from court, traffic tickets, etc. the second one is bad because it is physical and a lot of people use this method. They express their anger and behavior at society in different ways. Sometimes people can be victims without any reason. Last week, a man was killed in the subway. He didn't know who was the killer. I also heard that in school there was a gunshot and some students were killed and several others were injured. Nowadays people have very different attitudes. They carry guns and attack others without any questions. People can't walk free and comfortable with others who are unknown to them. They must watch people around them to protect them self. People are not safe outside the house.
            
             On other hand, people can ask themselves are they safe in their own home. The answer is no. In the story, the character Red Sammy said that everything is getting terrible. In his day he could go off and leave home without locking the door. But, nowadays he can't leave his pet without protection. This is true that people have changed for the worse. In our society we can hear that there are a lot of criminal activities. Sometimes misfits come to knock at doors and when someone open the door they could attack him/her or kill before he/she can ask any questions people can't open their door when they aren't sure who is there. Sometimes people had been kidnapped in their house. People are not sage in anywhere, even in their own home.
