Water Shortage Arises

Have you had your bottle of water today? Well if you have then you noticed along with millions of other Americans that prices have gone up from the normal $2.00, to a drastic change of $3.50. Manufacturers claim that this change has come as a result of the water shortage that America is experiencing. Water has become a product similar to gas, which has gone up in recent years to an average of $3.17 per gallon. The prices of this product that we have taken advantage of for the past twenty years may rise even higher.
So who is to blame for the shortage of life's most valuable necessity? Experts say Americans have wasted over half of the world's supply of water on unnecessary thing such as swimming pools, water parks, running the dishwasher, etc. Let's not forget about the huge amounts of forest fires that have been put out.
Even with the state warnings and regulations, which are now required in the United States, citizens continue to take H2O for granted. What has to happen to give our society a wake up call? When will we finally take this seriously? I, Myself, hope that this simple $1.50 raise helps to get the point across and I'm sure many of you out there agree. We can not live without water and although it may last for the rest of our generation's life, we must be thoughtful of our grandchildren and their grandchildren and so on. Don't waste your water!
