ESP
Extrasensory Perception, The Sixth Sense Extrasensory Perception is most commonly referred to as ESP. ESP breaks down into three main categories, mental telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition. Everyone has the ability to perform all three of these things. The purpose of this paper is to discuss common misconceptions about ESP and clairvoyance, test and experiments and what ESP and clairvoyance are all about. Overall, extrasensory perception describes a way to communicate or to be aware of something without the use of the five normal senses of hearing, seeing, touching, feeling and tasting. As ESP breaks down, one of those main categories is clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is very simple to explain. Webster's dictionary defines it as "clear seeing," which comes from the French words "clair" meaning clear and "voyance" meaning seeing. It is the awareness of an object, person or happening without the use of the five senses. A clairvoyant will receive information in the forms of images, pictures and/or visions, but what one sees is up to them. A clairvoyant may see something that is not the rea
l meaning of the vision because not all information comes out plainly, one must piece all the parts together like a puzzle. Most people who receive images a lot will usually deny it most of all and that's perfectly normal because of lack of proof. The last misconception this paper will discuss is that ESP is one process. There are also many other experiments someone could do, but these are two that will work well. Once the clairvoyant has guessed they must keep the card faced down and then chose the next in the pile until you have gone through all twelve cards. The belief that all "psychics" are gypsies that look into crystal balls or a man in a turban that tells the future is a very common misconception. Some scientists do think they have proof from tests they have run on certain people but nothing is for sure. An ESP experiment is one that may take all day or even more to do. After all the preparation is done, without looking at the cards one must try to sense whether the card is a black or red one. Out of twenty five phone calls one must get 7 or 8 correct to prove they have a high degree of ESP. If a clairvoyant is not sure of how strong their clairvoyance is or if someone wanted to know how much of an ability they had for ESP there is a number of experiments to test it. If a person wants to do this they have to make sure they do not have caller ID. At the end of the test look at all the cards. Next take the first twelve cards off the top and shuffle those once more.
