Forging a pro-gay, pro-life alliance

On October 8, 2004, writer and homosexual, Brian O'Leary Bennett wrote an article titled 'Forging a pro-gay, pro-life alliance,' in which he argues the point that, (as he believes,) those who are pro-life, should also be pro-gay. His main point is that he believes that someone is born gay, like someone is born with blonde hair or with brown skin. I disagree with many of his points in this article. One point I disagree with is his statement that people are born gay. "...his broken promise to unborn gay and lesbian children. Paragraph 4" This reference is mentioned many other places in the article. A child is not born gay, homosexuality is a choice. Tony Horton, a former gay, has a website titled 'Christians No Longer Gay Living for God.' On his website is a quote saying "...Change is possible. No one is born gay. It is a perverted choice one makes. Why would God make anyone homosexual then bar them admittance into the kingdom of heaven? (www.thebible.net/cnlglfg/)" These kinds of beliefs go back to bible times; In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 it says "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offend

In Romans 1:27 it states "In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Another point that he has that I do not agree with is his statement that 4 pro-lifers are on an "unchristian crusade against lesbians and gays. Had he wanted this to happen differently, he would have done so, but he chose, instead, the opposite sexes to be joined together in marriage. " Here Paul also states that those who do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God. ' If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector. go and show him is fault, just between the two of you.
