Breaking the Stereotype and relavene to Black Professions

Since blacks have been in America we have been the victims of the most vile, and dehumanizing stereotypes and labels, the world has to offer. Education or miseducation of black children, internal and external conflict (factors) dealing with black people, systematic oppression and institutional issues, and black professional play an important role in breaking stereotypes amongst the black race. As a up and coming black professional, I feel there is need for this topic to be research, so that I can help along with other young professionals to beak the cycle of vicious negative stereotypes about the African-American race. For change to take place we must first understand the problems and face realities, yet we must not feed into lies and labels about us. We need to stop playing the victim and stand up for ourselves. We must do something professional and intellectual to change our circumstances in a positive way and help break the cycle of stereotypes. First education plays an important role in dismembering the stereotypes of black students. "Black student are lazy", "Blacks can't write or speak proper English", "Blacks student are slow than white", are some common stereotypes often heard about black students. The question is ar


Next, the government offers vouchers to a selected amount of inner-city children to attend school outside their surroundings. The media act also contributed to the youth identities. One of the reasons is that may schools are still segregated because of socio-economic issues , such as affordable housing and parents with low income levels . This unfair treatment started since blacks became free. Parents also must teach their children at home before send them to school. In conclusion, for changes to be made all aspect of stereotypes or the cycle need to be faced however, not believed. We rarely see something positive surrounding us. However black women are seen as "welfare queens". Every time we turn on the TV or the radio we see or hear the stereotypes that surround our community. Racism is the belief with the feeling that certain groups or races are inherently superior to others; discrimination involves behaviors that exclude all members of a group from certain rights, opportunities or privileges, while prejudice is a negative attitude toward an entire category of people. Today many we live in the generation of hip-hop and rap, where rappers are seen as role models. Some of these leaders had a formal education and some were self taught but were trained liberally, however all of these people can be consider professional because they had the knowledge it took to make changes. We must realize that struggle within us will not help change but continue to hurt the community. We need to education people on what is truth and what is fact we can only do this by changing our action and then will the cycle be broken.
