Germany During WWII
In Germany during WWII many things were going on in the economy, the social problems and with the politics. Germany was unstable and wanted to explode upon the world. Most of the people that were German citizens were very against the jews. Probably due to all the propaganda. Also during the war the armies caused food shortages because an army runs on its stomach. Hitler made many discriminative law/bills against the Jewish people. World War II was a time when many things were going on in Germany with everyone and everything. The economy of the German’s was not really even worth the paper it was printed on.(ck) The currency at the last few months of the war was almost one million of there marks to our American dollar.(ck) “Hyper inflation raged during 1922 and 1923 which and the world economic depression which broke towards the end of 1929...”(Taylor 48) During the war food was a “hot commodity” and it was rationed off. “Daily rations per adult at the end of the war were 270g’s of bread, 35g’s of meat, 25g’s of sugar. (Large 124) Journalist’s claimed the leader of the newly formed Nazi part was Adolf Hitler. Hitler passed a law that gives everyone who is a Reich commissioner the legal right to act as a local dictator. (gill 5) People were undernourished during this time and got sick easily. The political system in Germany had Hitler at the head as dictator. He had advisors but they only advised didn’t tell him to do anything. (Manvell 148) On November 9, 1938 Hitler gives the order to burn Jewish property and synagogues in Poland. WWII left Germany in rubble and with the loss of about $300 billion dollars in war reparations. (Manvell 115) The Nazi party emerged and the promise of the Nazi party would change the world. They only had no care because the propaganda that Hitler had made everyone hate the jews. The economy was running right into the ground. The Centre party seized power while the Reichstag were dissolved. If one million jews were killed some would rejoice others would just say oh well.
