Whereas, if you attend and successfully complete Submarine Machinist Mate "A" school you can earn thirty credits. Although most of these programs can not be completed in less than 1 1/2 years, they are extremely beneficial to that person in the future. ermodynamics and nuclear theory, which according to the American Council on Education (ACE) the complete course is worth seventy five credits. And most colleges accept the CLEP test scores for class credit and best of all these tests are free! Also there are many apprenticeship programs available for almost every job from barber to Nuclear Technician, these programs will help give that person an edge over the competion when they apply for jobs upon departure from naval service. Nevertheless, if a person is looking for a great education, travel, and pay make sure that they check-out the Navy, just beware it takes time for you to complete your education.
