Conflict Resolution in Work Teams (Rough Draft)
             One of the many conflicts that may arise when working in a team is the ability to manage each person's schedule. With most people's busy lives, it is difficult to find extra time to work with the other team members. In addition, this is usually a struggle for each member of the team. Trying to find not only the extra time, but also a time that is convenient for you and convenient for each of the team members is a challenge. Time management is the key. In order to make the team concept work, each person must manage his or her time efficiently. That also means prioritizing events and things in their personal lives. In order to be a cohesive unit each team member must be willing to work with the others to devise a schedule that works for each person.
             In addition to finding the time to work together location is also a factor. With many people commuting between work and home each day, often times members of the same team may live or work far away from each other. Trying to come up with a location that works for each person can be difficult. It is also necessary that each of the team members be considerate and understanding of the other member's ongoing commitments and obligations. If the team works together finding a solution to scheduling conflicts can usually be resolved with compromise and flexibility.
             The subject of motivation can be simple and complex at the same time. Simple because it explains much of what happens in our human behavior and complex because it goes to the root of what makes us do anything.
             Motivation can be difficult in any environment but especially in the team concept. Being motivated to accomplish a goal is important because following through with the goal is much easier if there are underlying reasons behind it.
