When you think of the Colonization period in African, do you realize that it affected the whole continent and drained it natural resources for close to century, while enforcing western culture and values. These picture was very clear in the play "I will Marry When I Want" The Author, Ngugi Thongo, made very observable and drew a picture , he also presented the colonial effect on the content more than any of the other novels that we I read. Although colonization changed the direction that Africa would have been taken if the white man stayed away. I think that Slavery did more damage to African civilization and development. To added more insult to the wound , the white man come back to colonize Africa, so as he haven't did enough damage first round. I personally believe that the world would have been better place and more advanced if Slavery and colonization were never taken place, arguing that Africa would being developed and played big part of the industrial revolutions and the progresses that world community made while the continent of Africa were held hostage.
