Nutrition Drinks: Examining Validity; Observing Affects

             There was once a point in time where even the smallest meal was considered an event. It was an era of elegance, aristocracy and multi-course lunches. When families would eat, it would garner hours of preparation and love and would bring entire families together at a table to share their days' events. That is now but a memory. Observing the quickening pace of society, it is obvious that many of yesteryears' relaxed luxuries are slowly being phased out. Most of the world, especially Americans, are moving faster and doing more in their day. An average schedule for adults is filled to the brim with errands, chores and other responsibilities, hardly leaving time for sleep, let alone meals. So where does this leave time for actual nutritious, healthy meals?
             The odds are; it probably doesn't. Many people find that it is almost impossible to find time to enjoy a sit-down meal aside from an occasional Applebee's or TGI Friday's. The tentative answers to this problem come in many forms: people are taking dietary supplements, eating less in general, ordering to-go fast food and actually drinking their daily intakes of nutrients. Yes, it has finally happened, science fiction has swallowed us whole and we are destined to live the rest of our lives eating government issued vitamin pills and astronaut food! Well, maybe not exactly that, but many people have indeed embraced this trend of seeking sustenance from so-called nutrition drinks.
             Many reasons arise as for why people take these drinks. Often, athletes will use nutritional drinks to try and saturate their bodies with proteins and vitamins. Also, many people will use nutrition drinks as a meal substitute as a way to "eat" on the go.
