Protecting Our Rights: What Goes on the Internet

             We have come to a whole new era where the Internet has become a good source of free information and bad information given. The problems that concern most people are the following: guard privacy with stronger laws, protect society by curving excessive rights, and protect free speech from censorship.
             One problem people have is the threats that they receive when surfing on the web like; personal information without any protection on people rights. Unless something is done people won't feel free to write an email, open online banking accounts, and buying things on the Internet (Ebay).
             Writing emails and sending your personal information isn't good. I'm an impulsive buyer on the Internet and I have had experiences where I have bought things that I don't even know what they are for or who is selling them and my information has been given. I didn't realize that people could use your information wrongly until I read this article.
             The first argument is that with stronger laws people can be more careful when surfing on the Web. And they will have to be more careful when writing and email, opening online banking
             accounts and buying things on the Internet. Some worker on the bank gave my mom's credit card information to my mother's brothers. A week later, my mom received a call from the bank manager that she had a debt of $10,000. My mom spent a lot of extra money with lawyers helping her on the bank problem.
             Next, regulations should be more confident in order for people to feel free to know what kind of people they are dealing with. I'm selling my car over the Internet and I received an email of someone who wanted to buy my car. This person said that he will pay me immediately and I felt happy. He was from Africa and I was supposed to send him the car all the way to Africa. This person didn't give me any guaranteed of whom he was. By contacting him by email I couldn't trust in him th...
