Mary Call does keep herpromise and she has a good effect on her little brother and sister. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Calpurnia has a significantinfluence on a young boy named Jem Finch. This has a positiveinfluence her siblings because they turn out okay in the end andeverything seems to go right with them. Calpurnia is a sort of nanny for a man named Atticus Finch. Shetakes care of his house and his children Jem and Scout. In the two cases listed above To Kill aMockingbird, and Where the Lilies Bloom are both good effects. Some of the things that Calpurnia doesare things like make him dress good and use good manners, all thethings that a mother would do to their kids. She has to keep a promise to her father not to recieve helpfrom others, and raise her siblings on her own. It justgoes to show that female characters have both positive and negativeeffects on people.
