Do you think Medea made a mockery of justice?

Euripide's Medea i a play about revenge and justice which i had a strong negative response to. Medea has been cheated on and banished from her home in Corinth. She has been hurt very badly, and seeks justice for what has been done to her. She responds to her emotions by killing the king of Corinth, Kreon, his daughter Glauke who Medea's hsband Jason is to marry, and Medea and Jason's two children. By committing this massive brutality in the name of justice, Medea has lost all sympathy for the cause and made a mockery of justice. This is how I see the play.
According to the Australian Little Oxford Dictionary, justice is fariness, and what is right. In Medea's case, fairness would be to take 'an eye for an eye'; to give Jason emotional pain to repay the emotional pain he caused her by being unfaithful to her. Instead, Medea decides "To make all three cold meat: Father, daughter - and that man i hate."Later she decides that this was not enough to satisfy her lust for revenge and 'justice' and with regards to her two children says "I gave them life and now I'll give them death" so she will destroy "all Jason's hopes". In relation to the saying(which is a definition for justice in some cases)'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth', Medea has taken four eyes for half an eye, as she was not physically destroyed. By planning to do this and calling it justice, Medea has made a mockery of justice, as taking four lives for a damaged life is very unjust.

Jason was obviously concerned with this, as he expresses to Medea "You don't need more children. I do" and that he wants his sons to have "new royal brothers". (it is better to have sons that are royalty than "beggars".) He is also more concerned with the children than with the women: "Sex! We need another ...
