A Narrowed Minded View of Christianity Compared to Other Religions In this course I have learned about many religions. I have agreed and disagreed on many of the topics. The religion I follow and worship is Christianity. So when I learn about other religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, I tend to judge and compare them to Christianity. In this paper will compare and contrast Christianity to these other religions. The first religion is Hinduism. Hinduism is known as the oldest alive religion. It has no real founder. But has one main god and many others are known. The four most popular gods are Brahma, Indra, Varuna, and Agni. The most important god is Brahma, also know as Prajapiti. He is the creator god. Indra is known as the ideal god and god of war. Indra led he Aryans to victory in northern India. He sported the thunderbolt as his weapon. This symbolized storm and rain. He was also a great giver for luck and wealth. Varuna is the next god. He is the god of moral order. Varuna received prayers and gave them to the other gods. He was also known as the forgiver. The last god is Agni. Agni is the god of fire. Agni was worshiped along with the sun (Savitar). They were worshiped a


Moksha is a release from everything. By this time they have already been "brainwashed" by their families religion. They farmed and took care of cattle. Buddha has a good life ahead of him. But he still was abstinent from all pleasures and meditated. This was because he took the offeri!ngs and ate them by burning them in the fire. Christians follow the Ten Commandments. The main book of Hinduism is the Rig-Veda. He wanted to figure out what was wrong with the world and what the an!swer to life is. First to contrast Hinduism to Christianity. One way is both religions set down boundaries by laws. He met with them at Deer Park in Sarnath. He then sat under a bohdi tree until he figured it out. In Christianity many other branches have formed.
