Ok To Dream
Is dreaming damaging to your mind? Some say yes, however I say vehemently NO! Henry David Thoreau says and I quote, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." If you don't have room to dream, and to go in the direction of your goals and dreams what are you going for? "The truth here is simple, when you ignore your dream by not turning it into a step-by-step goal, you miss out on your reason for living!" There are three main things that you need to think about when dreaming or going for your dream however....they are simple.1. Decide what you want to accomplish.Excuses get you no where! There is an excuse for everything, but are you going to use the excuses or are you going to work harder to achieve the dream you have in mind. Some excuses that are commonly used are; I'm too overwhelmed, I have too much to do (too many responsibilities), achieving my dream is unrealistic, my dreams are too outrageous, I don't have the time, money, support, ambition or skill to accomplish it. I would have to start my life over again, I may not be happy, but I'm comfortable with my life, I don't like taking risk
I have dared to dream and not only dream but put my dream into action! "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. I am working towards my goal by working on school everyday, accomplishing my tasks and working hard trying to finish high school so that I can get to college in 2005. My father has always had the dream of becoming a doctor, but he has always said, I can be happy doing this instead; but guess what, was he "happy" yes, but he wasn't really happy. He started school in the Fall of 2003 and we are now in the Summer of 2004. That is my dream! Do you have a dream? Do you dare to dream? In my family we dare to dream and you can accomplish ANYTHING that you set your mind to; I believe that. In 2000, he again thought about applying for Medical School, but again decided I can be happy doing this instead, we bought Money Mailer (advertising company) and did that for the entire state of Idaho. I have never been to High School; and I will never get to experience what that is like. I will admit readily that when I found out that I was going to be moving here I was not happy, I was trying to think of ways to stay home and I made life horrible for everyone involved for the first 3 months that we lived here. He got accepted and accepted his acceptance to MUA (Medical University of the America's) in Nevis, West Indies. Today 1 year later I am living in the Caribbean.
