stock market portfolio report
I have been working for five years and have decided that I should do something with my savings in order to provide me with sufficient funds to retire with and maybe even do it early. At this point in time I'm not worried about having to provide for children because there are no plans to have any. I have established myself in my job and receive a decent salary and do not need to supplement my income at this time.My objectives for my investment strategy are to first pay off any student loans that may still be outstanding from university. My second objective would to be able to accumulate enough funds to pay off a mortgage on a house. The third and most important objective would be to have enough fund

My growth section, which also makes up the bulk of my investment portfolio is going to contain most of my foreign stock. Asset AllocationAfter considering my objectives and my personal situation at this time, I feel I can take a rather aggressive path in my investment endeavors. The reason that my Canadian amount is so high is because if I can't invest in my own country who else is going to? In addition, Canada has a lot to offer as far as growth potential. I have decided to go with the following asset allocation strategy: 10% in savings, 20% in income and 70% in growth. In my income section I will have Bonds and mutual funds such as First Chicago Corp and Value Jet with yields of 11. Being young and having time to make up for any losses later on this would be the time to take the risk on any potentially high growth areas that I can get myself into. Savings bonds are more liquid and make it easy to convert them back into cash should the need arise. I also have the flexibility because I have no dependents that I have to support. The rate of return on savings bonds is not great but it will give a decent amount back. These choices also cover a large portion of my North American portion of my geographic diversification. Stocks like Berela Ltd in Australia (developer/contractor), Uproar Inc from the EASDAQ in Europe witch is and Internet entertainment company on the rise, and finally from the Singapore exchange Singapore Tech Engineering Ltd. All of these choices will aid in achieving the objectives set out and I will live a happy retired life not worrying about money any longer.
