             Marketing Segmentation and Customer Profile
             The ad I have found represents Sunkist, the orange soda drink. The ad uses a theme that reaches a wide market. On the front of the ad, there is a mass-marketing slogan. The ad says "Sunkist orange soda is giving away 6 charged experiences with the world's top pros". Because we do not yet know exactly what the pros are, it is reaching all types of people. However, as you open the ad, you can start to see the market segmentation. There are no geographic strategies used in this ad. Geographic's is the segmentation of a market based on where people live, however, this ad is being expressed to all types of regions. The ad has clear demographics. Demographics are statistics that describe a population in terms of personal characteristics. This ad is very stylish and up to date with what the majority of people like to do for entertainment. It reaches males and females ages 14-50. The prizes include something that all types of ages would enjoy. The border around the ad is a perfect example of how diverse the demographics are. It includes younger kids playing video games, an African American singer, an Asian girl, a white male singer, a surfer, a motorcyclist, and a young girl with a sex appeal. As you can see they have covered many areas of today's society. The biggest type of segmentation in this ad is psychographics. Psychographics is the study of consumers based on lifestyles, and the attitudes and values that shape it. Lifestyles are important to marketers because people who share common interests and activities will have similar attitudes about products. The psychographics of this ad include the six prizes.
