Vietnam

Throughout the Vietnam era hardships and tragedy plagued the area of Vietnam. This immoral war left the Unites States with resentment, but not in its fullest form because the war was an experience that anyone who visited Vietnam would never forget. Immoral acts were regularly presented during the war, thus, exposing people to a different would other that their own. My Great Uncle Tommy, a Veteran, was in Vietnam for about six months, his experience preceded a scar in him that I think cannot ever be erased. In my interview with my Veteran we both tend to agree with Historian A, because he thought that even though it was, "one hellava experience, no one should ever have to endure pain, tragedy, or even death. He himself read the two historian articles and agrees with Historian A. After his leave in Bangkok he went home, with an honorable discharge. One in particular caught my attention. "It was the best time of my life" (VI2000) he exclaimed. Two weeks later he walked out of the hospital with a knee/leg brace. They convinced us that we are right" (VI2000). He told me that they stripped off his clothes and had badly beaten him. He goes on, "I walked around the tunnel looking for mines, and just as I thought it was okay I took a closer step to the tunnel. I never knew that our government was capable of such disaster and turmoil. It's something no one should experience because your life will change forever" (VI2000). We were all given orders, but only half the U.
