wise buying
Upon receiving this assignment I tried to think of the most effective consumer I knew. The first person that popped into my head was my father. He has instilled in me several good techniques unconsciously throughout the years. My parents can't yet see that I know these things because I don't really have the need or desire to spend my money all that wisely. I agree with all the points my dad made in our interview, I just haven't started to practice them yet. Here are my dad thoughts on the subject; he is a very strong believer in the fact that if you want something and don't necessarily need it than there is not much
The next person I thought of was my sister because she has grown up seeing the same purchasing techniques as I have but this is her second year of college life and has to use these things in everyday life. Another point of his is that you should wait for demand to decrease so you as the consumer are in control rather than the person trying to sell their product. All in all I think that this advice is some of the best I have heard and it would be worth while for most people to try using these strategies during their next purchase. She started out buy saying to shop around and not jump the gun of buy a product unless you know it's the best deal around. When price goes up that certainly doesn't mean the quality is going to increase, so, find out if the more expensive item is worth the extra money or if they're just charging you for the brand name. She uses sales and coupons to get better quality at a lower cost. In looking for a better deal you must take quality into a great deal of consideration. He also doesn't think you should be a cheap item, you should find the item that has quality at a good price. A lot of the sales come around before the peak season starts for the item or after the season is over, she is purchasing at a time when it's a buyers market in these cases. ------------------------------------------------------------------------**Bibliography**. The last point he mentioned is you should always be able to afford it, not just have the money you need for the product but plenty of money to spare in case something you really need money for comes up. The final and most important technique she uses is to use credit to her advantage by paying the bill before interest accrues.
