             A famous poem of "The Tyger" was regarded in its time as very strange but many of its idea make sense to the modern reader. William Blake, who was the author of the poem. He was born on 28 November 1757, and died on 12 August 1827. "The Tyger" was a poem that with a religion background. It expresses wonder at the fearsome side of God. Within the poem, the tiger is beautiful but at the same time fierce and terrible. We can see that the poet wonders, at the differences in the creations of God. The author used different method to write the poem. Personification, and Symbol lead the reader to resonate his idea.
             Personification is giving an animal or inanimate object the qualities of a person. We can see that on a personification, the "What immortal hand or eye" (3) mention in the first and last stanzas is that of God, and the "he" used "his hand and eye" to marvel the powerful beauty of the tiger and wonder at its creator. The author used a lot of personification in the poem. "What dread hand? & what dread feet?"(12), Blake used "hands" and "feet" in three stanza to represent the tiger's paws, that means the dread of human. Another personification are presenting in "When the stars threw down their spears, and water'd heaven with their tears" (21-22). "tears" and "threw" are the keywords that Blake uses to describe the stars' action as human.
             Symbolism is a representation of ideas by the use of symbol; Literary and artistic movement that used artistic invention to express sensually ideas, emotions, and abstractions in place of realism. The main character in the poem is tiger, which is an important symbol. "Tyger! Tyger! burning bright" (21), the "tyger" in the poem is a symbol of the majesty and power of God's creation in the nature world. "Spears" is another symbol; "When the stars threw down their spears" (17), the "spears" is a symbol of fighting. Therefore, when the spears are thrown down, it means the fighting is over.
