Subjects:
been getting blamed, for most crimes. Children are not being
punished enough. In March 1999 the Young Offenders Act was
made, a few months later changes were made. Why isn't the Young
Offenders Act fit enough to fit today's youths? In spite of the
changes made to the Young Offenders Act it still needs improvement
to be more affective on youths. Changes like these could help youths
stay out of trouble: The age for adult sentencing should be changed
to 10 or 12, the parents should be punished, fined or arrested, and
youths should be rehabilitated and let back into society.
A youth by the age of 10 or 12 who commits a serious crime
should be punished the same as an adult who commits the same
crime. If a child who is smart enough to kill someone then they
should pay the price. If youths ages of 10 to 12 aren't punished
enough then they will keep committing crimes. Youths should learn
. . .
When a youth commits a crime, this youth may only be 10
or12.
Youths still have a lot f life to live and they should be able to live it. If the youth breaks a serious
law then the parents or guardians should be arrested. When
parents/guardians find out what the consequences about the
changes to the Young Offenders Act then, they will try to make their
children out of trouble. If changes are made to fit today's society then more youths
will make better use of their brains and time. Finally
they are following the influence of other people or characters in their
lives.
Youths problems if they have some before a crime should be
noticed. Youths should be rehabilitated
and let back into the community. The parents/guardians should provide assistance
before anyone else. This will also prevent youths
from breaking the law more and in the future.
Youths today are worse than before.
Youths under they age of 14 don't know any better so they
shouldn't be punished. If the age for adult
sentencing is lowered to 10 or 12 then youths can make better use of
their time, and stay out of jail.
