Moral questions are very common in the practice of medicine because of the process in which products and techniques are tested. There is valuable information that could be obtained but there are also negative affects that come from the experimenting. Doctors and judges in the court of law are faced with this problem and are forced to make decisions. In The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells, Dr. Moreau is performing experiments in which he didn't look at the harmful effects of them but only cared about what he could get out of them for himself. Through his creative mind, he made new discoveries but also showed how evil and self-centered a person could be in a situation in which he could gain something for himself. Dr. Moreau had a very creative and ingenious mind that was able to explore areas of science many other doctors wouldn't. His experiments showed his intense desire to succeed in new areas of science.
