Journey to the Center of the Earth

He and his uncle, Professor Hardwigg, set out along with an Icelandic guide named Hans to Iceland. After many weeks of traveling, becoming lost, and suffering through terrible heat, starvation, and dehydration, they come to a huge sea in the middle of the Earth. As the mysterious parchment said, on the last day of a certain month, sunlight shone down upon the entrance where they enter a dormant volcano that supposedly leads to the center of the Earth. Eventually, they escape by getting caught in a lava stream of a volcano that is about to erupt. to come along, but after hours of being locked-up in a room while his uncle tries to decipher the ancient writing, he gives in and reveals the secret.
