Already at the beginning, the tension mounts. The format is that they are to have a descent conversation. Neither one of them can talk over two minutes at a time. This is pointing out to the nation that Bush will bring great new minds into the power of our nation. Gore came back to say that’s its not just about our military power, but the values of the American people that make our country powerful. This was great to try and kiss some rear of the American people. Gore said something that made me laugh. He pointed out that America has the best economy then goes uh… I mean a good economy we need to improve it. I think that Gore really isn’t too prepared for this debate. Gore mainly points out all the ideas that past presidents have promised. Bush closes his debate with we need a new reformed government. His big thing is education for children. They both agree that same sex marriages are not to be legalized. Gore made a stand to side with Israel and help them out in their struggle. Bush takes Gore’s points and makes them better. Gore has very weak arguments mainly because they precede Bush. Gore pulls something out of his butt and pointed out that the hate crime bill that is Texas has failed under numerous situations. I think Bush is going for the smaller things that make a huge difference.
