Living in USA/Germany
Living in the USA/Germany There are many similarities and differences that I have experienced having lived in Germany and in the USA. I myself personally like it better in the USA because I always have something to do and am having fun and in Germany I have less fun and am often bored and by myself with nothing to do and nowhere to go. German culture can be seen in the USA just like the USA culture can be seen in Germany. I have lived about half of my life in Germany and Half in the USA so far but will move back to the states in December. I have both in me because I am half German and half American. There are a lot of things to compare and contrast between the USA and Germany. The size of the country and towns in Germany was shocking to me when I first moved here because everything was smaller. There are a lot more people in the states but Germany is very populated for its size. The roads in Germany seem smaller but you got the autobahn which is pretty cool. German people seem smaller and at fast food restaurants they don't have monstrous servings of food
The laws in Germany and in the states have their differences. In Germany it is how your grades are depends on what school you go to. Both Germany and the USA have Universities and higher places of study. The price of gasoline in Germany is very expensive and ultimately driving in the states is more fun for me. In Germany it snows a lot in the winter and hails sometimes. In Germany you can drink and smoke with sixteen. In Germany the summers don't get really hot and it can sometimes rain a lot and ruin summer vacation. In Germany it is required by law that a male does nine months military service. Both in the states and in Germany you can see a lot of foreign immigrants. Road signs and driving rules are different in these countries. Schools in Germany only have school until one and do not serve lunch. In the states you can cheaply get your drivers license at sixteen and drive and in Germany a license is very expensive but valid forever. Both countries have laws and a document with the laws written in it but the laws differ in both countries. Lederhosen are traditional German clothing and in the USA lederhosen would seem funny to most people. Both countries have their own style and way of living.
