Sent an image out through France of being exactly what they needed during this time in the Revolution.G. Both the successes of Toulon and the Thermidorian Convention.H. Also there was no equal treatment of workers by their employers. The Military Dictatorship that was instituted was thought to be innovative, and stronger than the French System. The population decreased and families were destroyed by all the causalities of war. Repression of liberty, subverted republicanism, restoration of absolutism, these are a few. Things such as nominating for clergy, land not returned to nobles and clergy, tolerance of Jews and Protestants, equality before the law was his theme, freedom of religion, protection of property rights, abolition of serfdom, minimum church involvement in education, the repairing of towns, roads, bridges, and canals, and the taking away of aristocratic privileges. "Pregnant and barefoot", seems like it would be a favorite quote of Napoleons. Not just in France but throughout Europe. He controlled what the papers said, what they said about him most importantly. This was major because Napoleon rocked the government and was going to have to have a plan now to institute a new form of government. People began to see and realize that war is not the answer to solve your countries problems. I think that this is the most important lesson of achievement of the Napoleonic Era. These and more were all achievements of the Napoleonic Era.
