Globalization

             Some argue that globalization brings great benefits, while others argue that globalization is fundamentally flawed. Authors have theories about globalization and what affects it brings on third-world countries. Some authors believe that globalization helps out countries and brings them prosperity. While other authors think that globalization tears countries apart and ruins their heritage. The pros and cons of globalization are proven through the opinions of the following authors: Martin Wolf, Peter Martin, Hans Kung, Bernard Cassen, and Pico Iyer.
             The authors that say globalization is beneficial are Martin Wolf, Peter Martin and Hans Kung. They believe that this brings countries closer together. This group of authors believes that globalization has its faults just like anything else but in the long run it will work out for the best. "Globalization is the great economic event of our era" (Wolf 9). The author strongly believes that globalization will work over time if one gives it the chance to. If not given the chance to make mistakes before it flourishes then the critics are right; globalization will not succeed.
             If given the chance every country that adopts globalization will be happy they chose the new technology. "It has produced an enormous degree of improvement in human happiness in those countries which have taken advantage of the opportunities it provides"(Martin 12). In other words Martin is saying that happiness is a great thing for a country to have. Without happiness, the people in the country will have immense problems and not trust each other. Knowing that globalization can give a country the chance to be happy, it is something that is worth taking the risk. It will be hard for destitute countries to start something totally new with globalization because they are not as wealthy as other countries such as the U.S. They will have to take advantage of the benefits of globalization by striving tow...
