The honeymooners
Television itself has been around for at least half a century. At first, television showed wholesome family programs like Lucy, The Honeymooners, Andy Griffith, and others. It was a fantasyland for viewers, but as time went by they wanted different programs. In the late seventies and eighties, stations started to make detective shows with mild violence like Magnum PI, Magyver, and Knight Rider. From there, TV stations started to appeal to what their viewers want. Their (TV station) job is to make the viewer happy. By doing this they pole random people to get an idea of what type of show to air at "Prime Time"(8p.m. to 10p.m.). The kinds of programs that some stations show are only appropriate for certain types of audiences. They are filled with a lot of sexual content, extreme violence, and vulgar language. Audiences between the ages of four and twelve shouldn't be exposed to this type of content. At this age, it's a proven fact that they are in the most influential !stage of their lives. Also, some from the older audiences shouldn't be watching this programs either. They're like children, they take what they see and try to perform or act what they see, but this doesn't mean that television controls our society. Tel
Certain shows are very realistic, and sometimes it's very difficult to tell the difference. Television is not at fault for showing what people want, people are at fault for doing what they see on Television. He shouldn't be viewing content that obscene at all at that age. If your seven-year-old son is watching Cruel Intentions and goes back to school sexually harassing little girls, don't bla!me TV. The generation that does this gets the type of programs that it wants to see. To see the same thing repetitiously, that can have a serious effect on what's real and entertainment. When you appeal to just one group, conflicts will arise. That's why parents should crack down on what younger kid's watch. They shouldn't just say, " My son was watching Baywatch and he was going around asking women 'Why are your breast so small?'" Well, it's up to you to prevent what our youth watches. Conflicts started to arise and people, particularly children began to watch these programs and mimic what they saw. Making a person mimic a foul-mouth cop and choosing to do so is another. Which are sex, violence, and bad language chosen by our teenage generation. Television is only for entertainment purposes. If we have kids that are seven and eight cursing at or at home, then the parents should monitor what they watch at all times. Businesses are made to sell products to consumers to make a profit.
