Before the constitution was created, the Articles of Confederation was the document that was the foundation of America. There were many struggles and arguments between the federalists and anti-federalists in ratifying to create a constitution or make changes in the existing articles. The federalists were correct in creating a new constitution for America to be the most efficient and successful nation even though it contained minor glitches. The constitution contained the Bill of Rights which gave just fundamental rights to individuals. It also strengthened the central federal government which led to unity instead of strife within the states.
