Despite what the majority of people would say about the Salem witch trials and how wrong the Puritans were to be so masochistic, they were not. corn, peas, oats, rye, barely, flax, horses, sheep, hogs and gees.

The Puritans also set an American standard for education, forcing towns with over 50 families to provide a school, and forcing towns with over 100 families to provide a grammar school as well, to help young men go to college. Since their religious beliefs were reaching a downfall, and people of the community began to separate, these trials helped unify their community again and revive their religion. The Puritans created the currency and made the Indian’s currency work with theirs, again proving how compromising they were by trading fur skin for money so both populations could succeed. This was a smart decision made by the Puritans; considering that their "plan" to revive their religion worked and people in the community were once again unified.
