When an animal becomes an endangered species, "Save the Whales" or "Save theWolves" would appear on signs, shirts, and bumper stickers. What about "Save theBabies"? The slaughtering of babies is a multi-million dollar business promoted by manyin the "medical", or should we say "slaughterhouse", industry. Our babies are used tofatten the salaries of these so called "doctors" or "butchers". The life of a baby begins atthe moment of conception in a mother's uterus, and if the baby's life is not interrupted, heor she will someday become an adult man or woman. A human being from fertilization tonatural death has the right to live. All human beings have a fundamental right to life which Today the right to abortion is legal in the United States. The majority of womenwho have abortions do so because their contraception fails and the resulting pregnancy isunwanted. Canadian researchers found that condoms leak during intercourse three out offour times (Roleff 104). Motherhood should never be punishment for having sex. When the challenge of a baby arises, I trust alternativesolutions to abortions such as adoption and facility parenting. I believe having an abortion would causeextreme feelings guilt between a woman her conscience, and her God. CONCLUSION; Any way we look at this, abortion is wrong. Thequestion of abortion is often presented as a conflict of rights: Whose rights are to prevail,mother's or child's? Personally, I feel the real question is not whose rights are to prevail,but which rights: the right of the woman to try to alleviate her problem, or the right of thechild to live? So, it is not that one person is an adult and another is a child. Forcing a woman to bear a rapists child is torture of the victim of a heinous crime. We must carefor both mother and child by supporting alternatives for women facing crisis pregnancies.
