Does the United States benefit from immigrants in the 1990's? For many
reasons the United States does not benefit from immigrants right at this moment
in time. The United States is having it's largest surge of immigrants since the
states became united. Who knows what will stop these immigrants from
endlessly flowing into the country? The changes in our immigration policies of
the past have allowed immigration to greatly change. There are a lot more
immigrants now and a lot less diversity in the group. As of now, there is nothing
to stop this from continuing. There are twenty-five million immigrants in the
country and they represent ten percent of the total population. The number has
more than doubled in the past half century. Although some people are angered
at the illegal immigrants, they only account for about twenty percent of
immigrants. The focus is too much on illegal immigration these days. In fact, it
is the legal ones who make the most difference. This country is in need of a new
policy that doesn't allow just anyone to come here. We need to start an era of
restrictions on the immigrants who come here. We can only begin to help the
situation now, because it would take decades to solve a situation like this.
There is a quickly growing problem of overpopulation in this country. As
the population grows at an insane rate, our free space is going to get much
smaller. Not only is the population rising extremely fast, but also we are letting
thousands of people into the country. The more people there are, the less room
there is for everyone. We can't continue to place everyone together as close as
possible. It will only result in a large population moving away to avoid being
overcrowded. The more people that live in an area, the more traffic there is.
Traffic is a big issue as far as stress and where you want to live. A limit is
