People in England were hard working and dedicated. They did all they could, but every time a new king was made life got harder. The oppression in England was becoming too hard for them. They needed somewhere to go so there life would be free of taxes and religion and also they want a new change of life. They decided to go across sea to the new colonies for a new life. These people decided to separate from the Church of England and go to the new colonies; that's why they are called separatist. Being taxed heavily and not having anything to make me happy would drive me crazy out of my mind. The Great Migration of 1630's was a great time for people to leave England. In the new colonies they had the right to their own beliefs. If it was up to me back in this time, I would be in New England in no time at all. Some people had enough trouble taking care of their self's, then they had wives and children to take care of also. Bay Colonies where it was warm and this is where a lot of people could find work easily. This was also a new and exciting place to go for them just like a long vacation that never ended. The people were tired of hearing the beliefs of the king at church. Also another main reason the people decided to leave was because of taxes. This change was wonderful for people because they were tired of being cold and couldn't find work anywhere. Once they paid the taxes and took care of whatever, then there wasn't any money left to enjoy things. People didn't enjoy the king running their lives with his religious beliefs and the change into New England was the same thing I would have done myself.
