             "Peanuts, popcorn! Get your hotdogs," all ties together with America's favorite past time, one full of tradition, pride, and superstition. Yes, superstition, the unwritten laws that define the game. In some cases, it makes it much more than just baseball. There are so many things that the common eye overlooks in baseball. The game at times can look so easy...it's not. Hitting a baseball is considered the hardest feat in sports, but that's not it either. It is the consistency that's hard, it is the perfection in the game that reflects the morals of the American people, and we often fall short. Baseball is about the passion to be perfect in a game of failure; a hitter fails seven out of ten times at the plate and is still considered a hero. Superstitions are a way that a player can develop simplicity in a perfect routine.
             Superstitions will evolve to suit the mental aspects of the team or the player. If you watch the major league players, you will notice the same guys making millions of dollars are also the ones who wear gloves with millions of holes. A player can always add something to his routine if it has helped him find success on the field. For instance, if a player went 4-4 and realized that he forgot to wash his jock, wearing a dirty jock is now part of his superstition. Not all superstitions are set in stone. The routine will be subject to change after he realizes his superstition gave him jock itch, causing an itchy 0-4 performance. After this experiment went wrong, he must find a new routine or go back to what worked before. The trick is to find what works for you.
             I have found the system that brings me success, the magic that got me to the colligate level.
